Description:
Brief Description: Asthma is a condition marked by recurrent attacks of dyspnea(difficulty breathing) with wheezing due to spasmodic constriction of the bronchi. Cause: Allergies, offending allergens such as dust, smoke, pollen, animal dander and automobile exhaust are usually suspended in the air. Non-allergic asthma is usually secondary to chronic or recurrent infections of the bronchi, sinuses or tonsils. Cause may also be a combination of both allergic and non-allergic factors. Symptoms: Wheezing, dyspnea (difficulty breathing). Asthmatic attacks vary from occasional periods of wheezing and slight dyspnea to severe attacks that almost cause suffocation.
